Academic Credentials
Freshmen
First time incoming international students who are not educated in a U.S. based or IB curriculum MUST have their high school records evaluated by a NACES accredited evaluation agency. This evaluation must include:
- Course-by-course list of subjects and grades completed throughout high school career
- Exam results (e.g.CXC, GCSES, etc.)
- Overall US grade point average (GPA)
- Separately calculated Mathematics-only GPA
If the evaluation agency asks you to provide an email address to send transcripts to, please use admissions@kome-shibahara.com.
Transfers & Second Bachelors
Students with foreign post-secondary coursework have two options for submitting transcripts:
Request an evaluation from a NACES accredited evaluation agency (preferred). First, send transcripts to an accredited agency for a course-by-course evaluation of all subjects, including a grade point average (GPA). The agency will then submit this evaluation to FAU. Please have your evaluation agency send the evaluated transcript to admissions@kome-shibahara.com.
Request an internal evaluation by an FAU foreign credential evaluator. If you request an internal evaluation, we require you to send a certified English translation in addition to the original transcript from the post-secondary institution. Please have your official documents sent from the institution and translation agency to admissions@kome-shibahara.com. Official transcripts may also be mailed in a sealed envelope provided by the institition. Please note that internal evaluations are for FAU-use only.
Electronic/Mailing Address: All official documents should be submitted to admissions@kome-shibahara.com, or mailed to:
